So get this -- I was driving Ahna to work this morning, and we're trying to get onto I-5, and the guy ahead of us on the on-ramp is driving, oh, say around 40mph.

"Umm -- car?" Ahna says, "You're going to have to be going a lot faster than that if you want to drive on the freeway -- "

"COME ON!" I chime in, "COWBOY UP!"

No sooner had I spoken these words than the driver in front of me puts on a cowboy hat and merges smoothly onto the freeway.

I love life and all its little synchronicities.

So I had kind of a weird feeling last night.

What -- you think you know from weird feelings?

My friend, let me tell you:

When you go to see a friend of yours audition in a burlesque troupe tryout show, and you find out when you get there that one of the girls who will be performing was your girlfriend when you were fourteen, whom you haven't seen in years --

-- And she comes out on stage in a little schoolgirl outfit --

-- That, my friend, is a weird feeling.

(Not to mention, m_cobweb, whom I was actually there to see, did a damn fine job, too, and looked amazing, as expected. Definitely an evening well-spent.)
