Anyone want to go see a screening of Grindhouse with me tonight at the Cinerama at 10:00? I have a free pass for two. Let me know.

That's all right -- the second person (http://lokheed.livejournal.com/) I thought of lives in Florida. I'm oh-for-two, here.

Date: 2007-04-08 03:11 pm (UTC)I looked up that cover of "Love Song" we heard in the theater. It's from a compilation called "Backspin" put out by Six Degrees Record, who are big timers in the world music industry. The artist's name is Niyaz, and they have one album out - but I gather that their (her?) own music is nothing like what we heard. The whole backspin album is covers of pop hits by world music artists.
