SIXBOX remixed: I hereby declare the new living arrangements Partyable. Having the bed in the space that was formerly the living room, and the old bedroom converted into my office/salon, didn't seem to slow us down at all. In fact, the bed in the main space just makes a fine excuse/platform for cuddly puppy piles.

SIXBOX damage: Minimal. The four-poster bed needs to be reinforced, though -- those posts weren't really designed to have drunkards leaning on them for support.

Bar damage: Minimal. Most of my stock didn't get touched, actually. Y'all came through heroically to my request to bring booze, and you drank what you brought with you, it looks like.

Personal liver damage: Outstanding. I don't know if I've ever been this drunk at one of my own parties before. (It didn't help that, after already having had several mixed drinks, I insisted on having practically an entire bottle of pink champage all to myself.) Even my legendary post-imbibing memory is a little fuzzy, this time.

Best toy: I must remember to thank my sister for the fuzzy stuffed black sphere that goes booi-ooi-ooing! on impact. The more we drank, the funnier it got.

Surprise guests: [livejournal.com profile] sleepdepzombie and Mari's friends Corey and Ray (sp?) -- by sheer coincidence I had run into them the night before and wanted to invite them, but didn't because I'm shy (yes I am, shut up), but they had an invite passed along to them anyway, which was cool; and [livejournal.com profile] kaneda_khan, who told me he'd be up from Cali but wanted me to keep it a surprise. So worth it.

Much missed: [livejournal.com profile] morgyne, in town but not in attendance; [livejournal.com profile] kickaha, all the way across the fscking country; and [livejournal.com profile] evelynm ([livejournal.com profile] windbourne's sister) -- did you get lost, or -- ?

Made it to breakfast: Myself, Ahna, [livejournal.com profile] bhaiku, [livejournal.com profile] retcon, [livejournal.com profile] saffyre_dragon, [livejournal.com profile] kespernorth and [livejournal.com profile] chemicallace -- a much smaller turnout, and coincidentally, much worse service than previous years. Most of us were fashionably late, and most of you were still asleep, I assume. We'll have to start later next year.

If I had to do it over again: Instead of "BRING ALCOHOL," my last minute panic post should have read "BRING CHICKS". Talk about a sausage party.

Comments / anecdotes encouraged.

Yeah, I'm thinking if I hang out with you guys next year instead of being in Marysville I won't end up breaking my hand at GH2. Much love <3

Reminder to tall folks: Do *NOT* go all Pete Townshend on that thang under a ceiling fan.

Hope it mends soon. :}

Instead of "BRING ALCOHOL," my last minute panic post should have read "BRING CHICKS".

What? You mean we weren't enough chicks for you?

...and then my keyboard decides that's all I get to say.

Anyway, I was going to continue with, "If Sally'd been there, there would have been more than enough chick-ness to go around." ;)

HAH.

Suck it up, menfolks. (Thanks for being a good sport about the eyeliner, though.)

Sorry to have missed the revelry

I was on the road on the way to work at 5AM on the 1st, and it's so horribly anticlimactic to show up at that party and have to leave before it really gets rolling. With any luck, next year should work out better.

Sorry we didn't make it to your party, but we were out of town doing family things. We'll be sure to bring ducklings... er chicks next time!

"BRING CHICKS" should be part of the standard party boilerplate, neh?

Thanks for throwing the party! We definitely had a great time. Sorry we missed breakfast the next day but there was this whole sleep thing going on at that point.
