On Ethics.
Jun. 1st, 2007 04:56 pmIt's startled me to realize over the past few years that many people, including many of my friends, don't consider me to be a very ethical person.
I do consider myself to be highly concerned with ethical behavior, if not with morality. I've given it a lot of thought. I have a very simple system. After talking about it with
endorphan, I've decided to outline it here. (Mind you, that conversation was weeks ago. I've been working on this off and on ever since, and I still feel like I'm missing something.)
Feel free to skip this. It's a bit long, arguably a little dry, possibly pretentious. Whichever. But if you do read it, feel free to argue with me, to try to poke holes in my reasoning. I'll try to answer any questions and criticisms as best as I can.
