Updates.

Been a while since I posted last. Life's been pretty random.

• wendolen and I are still friends, somehow. Hanging out with her has been surprisingly fun and un-awkward.
• I went and saw 6fg and Murder of Crows at the Hurricane last week. MoC did the single best goddamn cover of "House of the Rising Sun" I've ever heard. Fun night. Good to go out and do something with retcon and treebyleaf, we don't do that often enough.
• I'm feeling a little better, energy-wise. I think it's because I've started taking vitamins. Well, okay -- they're Flintstones vitamins. Go ahead, laugh.
• The novel continues apace. Wrote 2,233 words today -- not my best day, but it's in the top three. I'm still really happy with it all. I think my speed will pick up a little after this, too -- my plot has now passed the point where the roller coaster is ratcheting its way to the top, and now it's all fast curves and thrills from here, baby.
• I threw together a quick-and-dirty little CGI script for my page about my novel so it adds up my total word count and prints a daily average. Geeky, but fun.

Sonata.

God, I love the Internet.

Monday night, I watched The Man Who Wasn't There with wendolen, and it repeatedly featured my favorite Beethoven sonata. (No, I don't know what it's called -- I just know it when I hear it.) So tonight I find myself remembering, "Hey, wasn't there a cheesy little pop song in the 80's that was set to the tune of that sonata -- ?" So a couple of minutes with Google looking up the few lyrics I remember to find the title and artist, and a few more minutes downloading the song from Morpheus, and I go from just remembering it to actually listening to it.

I do so love instant gratification.
