A day to myself.

I hardly know what to do with it. I think I may have had a day to myself since 9/11, but I don't remember one. I've really been wanting people around lately, even more than usual.

I hope to finish reading American Gods today. I need to go out at some point for a couple of minor errands; what I'd really like to get done today is a little writing. Ideally on another novel. I have a short story that I've been meaning to expand into a novel for a while; I think I'd like to get started.

Okay, not entirely to myself.

wendolen came by to borrow my CostCo card so she could buy cheap gas with it. Good to see her, even if it was only briefly. She seemed surprised that I was in such a good mood after my journal entry last night. I suppose it is surprising.
