You know, with as many times as you've already had to put up with the "But whyyyy does Steamcon have to be in Octooobberrr?" question, I'll admit you're the last person I expected to hear that from. :)
It *is* a good point, but it's one I just can't win; whenever I've scheduled it for different days, I always get people asking, "But why aren't you actually doing it on Halloween?" The best compromise I've ever come up with is to have it on Halloween, but have it early enough that people will still have time to go to parties/clubs/etc. afterward.
I *have* done readings at other times of the year before, and my current venue is really eager for me to do that, so I should start that up again. My only worry is that people really wouldn't be interested without the general atmosphere of Halloween raising their interest in things that go bump in the night.
